Complex Institutions
The Social structure was cut into five different parts. The Pharaoh is on the top by himself. Government Officials, Nobles, and Priests were next. Then it droped down to traders, artisans, and scribes: Tis is present day middle class. The next type of people were the farmers and herders, they were considered poor. Then at the bottom are the slaves and unskilled workers.
- The religion in Egypt was based off of Polytheism. They believed in many Gods and Goddess. Some Gods they believed in were Amun, Geb, Mut, Isis, Osiris, and Anubis.Osiris was the God of the dead and ruler of the underworld. Isis was a Goddess, she appeared with a headdress in the shape of a throne. She was a protective god. She used powerful magic spells to help people in need.
The government was mainly dominated by the Pharoah. A few were King Tut, Menes, and Cleopatra VII. Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic Dynasty, and she was known to some as the greatest Egyptian Leader. She never settled for less and that made Egypt one of the most powerful civilizations. He was the leader and made all of the decisions. To be the Pharoah you had to be born into the royal family. The Pharoah had some advisors that helped him out to, they were mostly priests.
